As I've mentioned before... I hate working out. There are people out there that will do 2 hours at the gym 4 times a week, every week. I'm definitely not one of those people! Once I bought a gym membership for a full year and did not go once... So when my friend signed me up for a kickboxing trial (which was $15 for 5 classes), I thought I'd get through the 5 classes and forget about it.
But to my surprise I loved it!
The class starts with good ol' cardio... Jogging, squads, push ups, planks, basically a total body workout. Second part of class is my favorite, it is when I get to kick and punch the shit out of a bag. This is also a great way to relive stress that have accumulated through the week. It feels great to be able to beat up your problems (like your boss perhaps), on a bag. Any vigorous exercise will release endorphins, however being in a high-energy group setting enhances these feel-good chemicals.
