If you guys know me, you know I'm obsessed with Fort Worth. I love this chill city! And this time of year, when the entire Main St. gets shut down for ART, hands down my favorite. I go for the rush, creative energy is in the air and I totally feed off of it.
Firts time hearing about this? Come out next year, enjoy all the food and booze, live music in the sundance square and get inspered.
Wearing this H&M 80's rock n' roll denim skirt with black AC DC t-shirt , black Chanel velvet double buckle belt and Sam Edelman leopard print sliders for a pop.
From what I've heard, it is not easy as an artist to get a spot on Main St. Art Fest, so it's awesome to see some of my favorites come back every year and with new pieces. It's also exciting to see new artists, pieces I've purchased this year were from artists I've not seen before. I was gawking at photographs of architectural Chicago and fell in love with the way this photographer was able to capture them. I've purchased a photo that he had to hang out of a window to take. I've also bought a print inspired by Walter Palmer (asshole trophy hunting dentist).
And of courses there is a lot for shit that I wish I could but can't afford, but still excited to see each year. Kina Crow is one of the artist I B line for. I find her art so emotional, evoking feeling of something between joy and sadness with a twist of humor. Pat Lee and FOBOTS are not far off with big chested mermaid and Barbie bots.
Any of you guys art fest junkies like me? Who are your favorite artists?
