Time for an updated Totally Rad post... As I've mentioned, over the past few month I've discovered some products that became part of my daily beauty routine. Lately, along with some other great products, I've been using a lot of Kiehl's, their line is one of the more affordable ones and made from all natural ingredients.
AM SKIN CARE
Best damn exfoliant out there. I use it 3 times a week, usually during my morning shower. It smoothes my skin's texture, minimizes discoloration and helps to absorb which ever skin treatment that goes on my face.
I probably haven't used a toner since high school. They used to live my skin super dry so I just gave up. But I've been missing out, this toner is alcohol free and it's like extra credit when it comes to cleansing. And it smells like tea!
I like to alternate between these two or use them together. Both of them are seriously amazing products and do exactly as their name states. Reviving concentrate leaves my skin feeling fresh and awake, diminishes signs of fatigue (smells fucking amazing!). The Shape + Fill gives me a naturally fuller, plumper skin and reduces the appearance of pores.
PM SKIN CARE
Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II (Estee Lauder)
I've used this off and on for a few years. This guy is pricey so I tend to wain until I can get it on sale but it is worth every penny. Makes the skin feel instantly hydrated, reduces appearance of lines over night, wake up with a smoother, stronger feeling skin. I've also used this on my recent long haul flight to Saint-Petersbur. Any one that has ever been on a plain knows how dehydrating they may be to your skin, so this is great to throw in your carry on.
Midnight Recovery Eye (Kiehl's)
I switch between few different eye creams but this is the one I'm currently obsessing over. Kiehl's has got some damn good smelling products, this is no exclusion. It's got a very soothing, calming smell, perfect for pm. I dab this just under my eyes and a little above cheek bone, by morning it leaves me with tighter, younger feeling skin.
Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque (Kiehl's)
Ok, so this dude is a heavy lifter of all hydrating masques. Little goes a long way here, I literally barely dip just the tip of my finger in it and it covers my whole face. I've had my jar for about 6 + month and I'm not even half way through. So the $35 price tag is very affordable. And is seriously goes to work moisturizing the skin while you sleep. Your face will feel so much plumper by the time you get up in the morning.
So we all know and love Clarisonic so I won't spend too much time talking about it, all I have to say... I can not live with out it! (side note - it went to Russia with me, and even though I left the charger behind, this sucker stayed fully charged for two weeks - impressive!
Hands down, no other cleanser like this one. Remember how your skin used to feel when you were like 17? This is what this cleanser does. It's definitely on the pricier side but it last me about six month. So if you want to do some "woman math", it comes out to about $7 a month... I say it's worth soooo much more! I usually squeeze a little onto my Clarisonic (just enough to fill the center hole). Once I go through my night skin care routine, I like to put on my cooling mask to seal all of the treatments, it also helps with under eye puffiness. I really need to do this in the AM, but my mornings are usually so hectic, I have yet to figure out how to add this step into my AM routine.
Skin Smoothing Pore Perfector (Bobbi Brown)
I've had a difficult time finding the right primer for quite some time. Finally I found one that I swear by. Bobbi Brown's pore perfector does it just right for me. Mind you this will not completely get rid of your pores but it will help smooth them out and it leaves my skin velvety smooth. I love using this in combination with Bobbi Brown's skin foundation and their creamy concealer. I also love Kiehl's Clearly corrective Dark Circle Perfector with SPF 30. This is my every day go to consealer. It works with any skin tone and only a small amount on your finger tip will do the job, meaning this little guy will last for ever.
Ok, so seriously, if you're thinking of trying out any of the products I talk about here... You have to try this! This is by far the baddest bitch of all. I can not tell you guys enough, how much I love this foundation. It lasts for a long time with out you having to touch it up and the skin just look porcelain. I'm serious... Every time I have this on, that is the complement I get... However, because of it's price tag I only use it when I got out. This is not your typical, run errands foundation, at least not for me. Make sure you have a flat top brush though, any other one will not work well. I love Sonia Kashuk's flat top multi purpose brush.
This is another one of those pricey but totally worth it items. Really all I have to say about it, is that I've lost count of how many times women asked me if I have fake eye lashes on. I never do... This mascara is just that good!!!
The perfect mate lipstick. Also, although not advertised as one this works as a stain, the color last pretty much all day. You can have brunch with your girlfriends and you may only need to lightly re-apply. I actually like that sort of faded look through out the day, it looks natural to me. This goes on smooth like velvet but sometimes I will apply a little lip balm on top if my lips are felling a bit dry.
OK now lets have some fun!...
I've told you about all of these awesome goodies and I hope that most of you will try at least some of them. However, I get a ton of samples from my job, which is how I find a lot of this products I love and use. I wanted to give a little back to you, so one of you lucky ladies will receive a box full of some of my favorites (full size products + a couple of samples).
